Concept:A celebration and an exploration of Leone Abbacchio’s character as presented in Golden Wind.Pieces may explore his identity, his past, his interests (ranging from music, to fashion, to justice and beyond), and the symbolism that has been built into his character.Parameters:This zine is slated to be roughly 80 pages in length with about 20-25 artists, 6 writers and 6 merch artists. We are currently slated to be a physical project.This is a gen zine, and will not feature shipping content.As a part of identity exploration within the zine, depictions of Leone as any sexuality, race or gender are welcome!No NSFW/ full frontal nudity. Artistic nudity is permitted, so long as genitals remain covered/cropped out.Creative liberties may be taken with his interests, ie: music or fashion tastes can be played with, other potential interests may be explored, like food/cooking and reading, so long as they feel tonally appropriate and in character to a reasonable degreePieces may be lighter in theme or darker, so long as they feel in line with the general tone of his narrative in cannonEven though this is not an explicit NSFW zine, all contributors must be 18+.Please check the FAQ for more info, and feel free to send in questions to our Tellonym!

FAQ

Even though there's no shipping, are other characters allowed?Other characters are welcome as long as Leone is the central character! After all, this is his zine!Will this zine be taking cosplayers and writers?Yes! We plan on taking on a number of writers, and we welcome cosplayers to apply as well! Cosplayers will be applying through the "Artist Application", since their submissions will be categorized as page art within the zine.Will this be a for profit project?Yes. We intend for this to be for profit, however, as with all zines, profits are not guaranteed.How will funds from this project be used? How will contributors be compensated?Funds from the zine will first be put towards breaking even on its expenses. After that, all remaining profits will go towards compensating contributors and moderators. It is our goal to ensure every contributor receives a physical copy of their work, however our ability to do so will be reliant upon the sales of the zine. If funds are insufficient to provide every contributor with a free physical copy, they will always be guarantied a free digital copy and all digital merch, as well as potentially a discounted physical copy, shipping, or physical merch, or otherwise compensated to the best of the mods' ability.Why 18+ if this isn't an NSFW project?Since this zine is intended to be for profit, we would like all our contributors to be adults.Can I apply for multiple roles?Yes. If you believe you can handle the workload of contributing multiple pieces, you are more than welcome to apply for multiple roles. If you have a strong preference for one role over the other, please mention so in the comments section of your application.Can my portfolio or sample pieces have NSFW in them?Yes, for artists. Despite this being a SFW zine, it's alright to submit work in your artist application that contains NSFW material. If you do submit NSFW, please be sure to tick the box within the application so that it's not opened in public accidentally by the mods during review.
We will not be accepting NSFW sample pieces from writers at this time.Can contributors collaborate?Yes, they can! Contributors are welcome to, and encouraged to collaborate with one another, if they wish.
